Though our initial data suggested MATH*Ability works, it wasn’t until the Spring of 2001 that we were able to see standardized data that significantly corroborated the earlier data. Juan Cabrillo Elementary in Seaside CA, tested 108 MATH*Ability students using a Spanish language test, SABE/2. SABE/2 is published by McGraw Hill.

When we compared the 2000 SABE data to the 2001 data we looked at the proportion of children who reached the top 20 percentile. The graph illustrates what we found.

“One year later, 14 out of 49 3rd grade students maxed the test.”

The data showed that all 3 grade levels increased the number of children reaching the top 20th percentile.

The 3rd and 4th grade scores were especially remarkable.

Fourteen 3rd graders maxed the test

In 2000, 1 third grader at Juan Cabrillo scored the maximum possible on the math computation section. One year later, 14 out of 49 3rd grade students maxed the test!

Clearly, the program works.

We also have SAT/9 Results.
